The city of Las Vegas is hosting a hiring fair Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Pavilion Center Pool to hire hourly swimming pool staff for the summer pool season. The hiring fair will be from 2 to 5 p.m. May 9 at 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive. The city will be hiring pool staff for its six pool locations, including 50 lifeguards, plus water safety instructors and assistants. Applicants should be prepared for an interview, swim test, hiring and onboarding. Those selected will be required to pass a background check and drug test before beginning work. Apply in advance online to reserve your interview time.

Register for 2026 training classes here. Applicants may attend one of the hiring fairs without being certified, go through the tryout process, and be accepted. Staff will sign successful uncertified applicants up for a free certification class if they pass. Certification classes are free if choosing to work for the city of Las Vegas; registration for a free certification class must be done in person at the pool.
