Sankofa symbolizes the people’s quest for knowledge, believing that the past must never be forgotten.

Sankofa Conversations: Continuing the Journey is a three-part workshop series consisting of book discussions and dialogue using the past to understand issues impacting the African-American community for today and tomorrow. Reference books for this series include “The Isis Papers: The Keys to the Colors” by Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, “Incidents In The Life of A Slave Girl” by Harriet Ann Jacobs, (aka Linda Brent), and “Tears We Cannot Stop” by Dr. Michael Eric Dyson.

Moderated by Franklyn Verley, executive producer and Host at Power 88 radio.
