The Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program (YNAPP) offers grants of up to $2,000 for youth to create and implement neighborhood-based service learning projects of their own design.
Youth are project leaders and work to make positive changes in their city of Las Vegas neighborhoods. Youth participants ages 8 to 18 (from neighborhood associations, social organizations, religious groups, educational institutions, etc.) can apply for YNAPP funding.
Sample projects include, but are not limited to, developing care packages, youth art/mural projects, reading project, services for the homeless, building Little Free Libraries and community cleanups.
There is an annual application process and the appointed YNAPP Grant Review Board reviews all applications. City staff provide technical assistance to grant recipients and monthly project reports are required until the project is completed. Grant recipients are required to sign a contract with the city of Las Vegas, outlining the group's project commitment.
