City Of Las Vegas Hosts Vote Party Tuesday, June 9
Community Members Invited To City Hall For Free Ice Cream, Food Trucks And More
Whether you are voting in person, dropping off your ballot or enjoying the Primary Election Day festivities, all are invited to participate in the city of Las Vegas’ vote party at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main St., Tuesday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7:30 p.m. Free two-hour parking will be available at the City Hall Garage, 500 S. Main St.; validation required.
The event will feature free ice cream while supplies last, live entertainment and the opportunity to celebrate Election Day with the community. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks.
No matter where you live in Clark County, all registered voters are eligible to vote or drop off their mail ballots between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Las Vegas City Hall, Tuesday, May 26, through Thursday, May 28, and Monday, June 1, through Thursday, June 4. All registered voters also are eligible to vote or drop off their mail ballots between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, June 9.
All voting locations offer same-day registration as well. There also will be a drive-through mail ballot drop-off available June 9 in the adjacent parking garage at 500 S. Main St.; enter the garage at the corner of Main Street and Clark Avenue/Goodman Way. Turn left behind the Babystacks Cafe (before the drop-arm ticket gates), drop off your ballot in the ballot box with the attendant, and continue forward to exit the garage onto Main Street.

Municipal Offices Up For Election
The city of Las Vegas municipal seats that currently are up for election in 2026 are:
- Councilman Ward 2
- Councilman Ward 6
- Municipal Judge, Department 1 (to fill the unexpired term ending 2028)
- Municipal Judge, Department 2 (to fill the unexpired term ending 2030)
THE FOLLOWING CANDIDATE is Declared A winner per NRS 293C.180 AS SHE RAN UNOPPOSED. No Election WILL be held for The Ward 4 seat:

Filing Period
For City Council seats in Wards 2, 4 and 6: the filing period was Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 13, 2026. City Council seat filing is now closed. See the Candidate Lists & Information page for candidate contact information.
The city of Las Vegas is not participating in the Aurora candidate filing method provided online by the Secretary of State. All candidates will be required to file in person using the forms provided below. We are accepting appointments for the city of Las Vegas City Council candidates.
