Adaptive_08292022_Youth-60The city of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation program provides opportunities for youth and adults of all abilities. We offer a wide variety of programs that promote socialization, skill development and physical activity. Staff provides advocacy and inclusion support for individuals with diverse abilities to participate in other recreational activities that the city of Las Vegas has to offer.

Memberships

  • Adaptive Pass
    This pass is required for participants to register online for Adaptive Day Programs
  • Disabled Veterans Pass
    Let us show you our appreciation for your service. With this pass, you will have the opportunity to participate in as little or as many of our recreation programs as you wish. These programs include fitness gym, fitness classes (strength & conditioning, zumba, yoga), pickleball, bowling, golf, gardening and eSports! This pass is grant funded. Memberships are limited.   • Gym/Fitness Pass
    This pass is required for use of gyms/pools within the city of Las Vegas for those approved through Adaptive Staff. 
  • Outdoor Rec Pass
    Adults 18 and older of diverse abilities will be able to experience different activities in the outdoors. These programs include cycling, camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing, rock climbing, and more. For more information contact Andrea Anzalone at aanzalone@lasvegasnevada.gov or (702) 229-6706.
  • Veterans Pass
    Let us show you our appreciation for your service. With this pass, you will get to sample of all the new and fun ways to recreate. From working out in our gyms to breaking a sweat at pickleball, to trying out your green thumb in our gardening program, you will find there is something for everyone. Adaptive Day Programs

  • New A.G.E. – 702-229-5177
    New A.G.E. (Activities, Games & Exercise) is a day program for adults of diverse abilities 18 years of age and older.  Participants learn social and recreation skills by participating in leisure and recreational activities. Adaptive Trips

  • Leisure Connection – 702-229-5177
    Leisure Connection is a community reintegration program for adults 18 and older of diverse abilities. Community outings are planned to increase independence, social skills, and knowledge of community resources.   • Outdoor Adventures – 702-229-6706
    Adults 18 and older of diverse abilities experience the outdoors in a fun and educational way. Adventure programming will vary from camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing, rock climbing and more.   • Stepping Stone - 702-229-5182
    Stepping Stone is a social group for teens with diverse abilities. The program aims to encourage participants to step outside of their comfort zone through community integration outings; all while being safe and having fun. Adaptive Fitness & Wellness

  • Adaptive Cycling - 702-229-6706
    Adaptive cycling is a fun, engaging activity for adults with diverse abilities. Cycling promotes and encourages a healthy lifestyle, social skills and independence. Sessions are available on a weekly basis every Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. at Wayne Bunker Park, 7351 W. Alexander Rd.   • B Fitness - 702-229-5177

  • Cardio Drumming - 702-229-5177
    This inclusive class uses movement and rhythm for a whole-body workout while remaining fun enough for anyone to do without any formal training. This class is great for all ability levels. For more information contact Jennifer Winder at jwinder@lasvegasnevada.gov or (702) 229-5177.
  • Disabled Veterans Aquatic Group Therapy - 702-229-6706
    Are you suffering from aches & pains? Do you need to enhance your mobility? Are you looking for a social group? Aquatic group therapy may be the class for you. Aquatic therapy is exercises performed in water for relaxation, fitness and physical rehabilitation. The classes offered in a group setting. Classes are held at Municipal, 431 E. Bonanza Rd.   • Disabled Veterans Archery - 702-229-6706
    Whether you are new to the sport of Archery or looking to brush up on your skills, join in a group of your fellow service men/women to participate in this exciting sport. You will learn the skills of Archery taught by experienced archers. The eight-week sessions are held at Aces & Arrows, 980 American Pacific Dr. #107, Henderson, NV 89014.   • Disabled Veterans Bowling - 702-229-6706
    If you’ve competed in a bowling league or are more of a passive bowler, this program provides an opportunity to socialize with other service men/women while participating in a fun, yet competitive sport. Sessions are held at Santa Fe Hotel & Casino, 4949 N. Rancho Dr. A Disabled Veterans Pass is required.   • Disabled Veterans Golf - 702-229-6706
    Golf is a great sport if you are looking to get outdoors, relieve some stress, get an entire body workout and interact with fellow service men/women. You will learn the skills of Golf taught by experienced golfers. The eight-week sessions are held at Las Vegas Golf Club, 4300 W. Washington Ave. A Disabled Veterans Pass is required.   • Disabled Veterans Strength Training - 702-229-6706
    No matter your fitness level, come and get your sweat on with classes that will enhance your strength, while building muscle and improving your cardio. The program utilizes a combination of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Classes are held at Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Rd. A Disabled Veterans Pass is required.   • Outdoor Adventure Hikes - 702-229-6706
    This group will promote a healthy lifestyle and challenge adults of all abilities to grow as individuals through visiting what is in our own back yard in Las Vegas.   • Pickleball - 702-229-6706
    Pickleball is paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis and tennis.  Pickleball is easy to learn, provides social connections and health benefits as it’s an aerobic sport. Come learn the highly trending sport of Pickleball with experienced instructors. The best aspect of Pickleball is, anyone can play! The program is offered at Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Rd.   • Camp CAL – 702-229-5177
    Camp CAL is a five-day residential camp located in Calabasas, CA. Camp helps promote independence, self-esteem and social skills for individuals 18 and older of diverse abilities.   • Camp Malibu – 702-229-6706
    Camp Malibu is a five-day residential camp located in Calabasas, California. This camp offers youth with disabilities, ages 10-21 the opportunity to experience social, emotional and intellectual growth. It also enhances participants self-esteem and independence. Some of the daily activities will include swimming, arts and crafts, group sports and other recreational activities.   • Community Leisure Education – 702-229-5182
    This class is for youth with diverse abilities to learn about community leisure activities. They will learn the basics of planning activities, community awareness and independence in a community setting.   • Community Life Skills – 702-229-5177

  • Crazy Art – 702-229-5182
    Crazy Art is a fun program for ages 14 and above with diverse abilities. This program is a fun way for kids and adults with diverse abilities to come together to increase social skills, fine motor skills and creative expression. Supplies will be provided each class.   • Disabled Veterans eSports – 702-229-6706
    Studies have shown that gaming can provide solace to Veterans that face substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety and other mental health challenges. Our eSports room is an inviting and relaxing space where we offer a wide array of games to choose from to play. Come game with us while relieving some stress and socialize with fellow service men/women. Games are held at Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Rd. A Disabled Veterans Pass is required.   • Disabled Veterans Gardening – 702-229-6706
    Gardening has so many therapeutic benefits that include building self-esteem, improving hand strength, promotes healthy eating, promotes socialization, and improves mental health and so much more. Come get your hands dirty and join our gardening class where you will learn to improve on your gardening skills while making new friends. Classes are held at Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Rd.   • Drama Club – 702-229-5182

  • Handbells – 702-229-5177

  • Mindflow – 702-229-5182

Adaptive Events

  • Dances – 702-229-5177
    Get your dancing shoes on to rock the night away with your friends. All dances are open to ages 14 and above with diverse abilities.
