Susan Roger
The Honorable Susan Roger was elected as the Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge for Department 2 in 2011 and re-elected in 2017. Judge Roger presides over a full criminal calendar as well as the Las Vegas Municipal Court’s DUI Specialty Court.
Judge Roger worked for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, starting in 2000 as a law clerk in the appellate division and ending in 2011 as a Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Gun Crime’s Unit. During her eleven year career, she prosecuted thousands of cases, including fifty jury trials to verdict.
In 1996, Judge Roger graduated magna cum laude from UNLV with a degree in Hotel Administration and a minor in German. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Utah College of Law. While in law school, Judge Roger served on the Utah Law Review, was a teacher’s assistant for legal research and writing, and worked as a law clerk at the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
In 2020, Judge Roger received her certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Arizona Continuing and Professional Education Program. In 2020, she also received a Certificate of Basic Achievement from the Nevada Judge’s of Limited Jurisdiction for completing 240 hours of judicial education.
Judge Roger is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Nevada State Bar, The Nevada Judges of Limited Jurisdiction, the Clark County Bar Association, and the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys.
