Peter Bellon
Peter Bellon, Esq., was chosen and ratified by the Las Vegas City Council Dec. 3, 2025, to serve as interim Municipal Court judge in Department 2. He was sworn in as judge Dec. 4, 2025, at Municipal Court, taking over the bench for retired Judge Susan Roger, until a new judge is elected during the 2026 election cycle.
Judge Bellon is a graduate of UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a 1992 Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law in New York. Judge Bellon has practiced law in Las Vegas since 1992, primarily in criminal and family law. He served as a public attorney in Las Vegas Municipal Court for more than 20 years.
He has been a member of the Nevada State Bar, Clark County Bar Association, Nevada Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association since 1992. He also served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge with a rank of sergeant in 1980.
