The American Rescue Plan was instituted by the federal government to change the course of the pandemic and deliver immediate and direct relief to families and workers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis through no fault of their own. The city of Las Vegas has received $131 million in funding that must be spent by Dec. 31, 2024. Funding should support causes, issues and groups who have been most impacted by the pandemic.

Workforce Connections is one of several organizations to receive funds thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act. They received one million dollars to help employers transition to the new job market. Their goal is to train potential employees for the new types of jobs we will continue to see in the future as automation and robotic processes continue to evolve.
