The Historic Westside is entering a new chapter with the development of The Good Word Market Hall, a transformative project designed to strengthen community connections, support small businesses and bring new energy to one of Las Vegas’ most culturally significant neighborhoods.
Located at D Street and Madison Avenue, The Good Word Market Hall will serve as the first gathering space of its kind in the Historic Westside. The project brings dining, entertainment and community-focused programming together in a welcoming environment built to reflect the neighborhood’s character and future.

The Good Word Market Hall

The Good Word Market Hall is envisioned as a vibrant hub where residents and visitors can connect, eat and experience local culture. The space will feature a curated mix of local vendors, creating opportunities for small businesses to grow while giving the community a place to gather and celebrate.
The market hall includes:
-
8,997 square feet of interior space
-
A 2,400-square-foot second-floor mezzanine
-
Four designated stalls dedicated to small business incubation
A total of $8.7 million has been appropriated for the project through the Redevelopment Agency and Neighborhood Services Choice Communities funding, underscoring the city’s long-term commitment to equitable redevelopment in the Historic Westside.
Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2026. Tenant improvement construction is expected to start around June 2026, with overall construction completed by October 2026. The Certificate of Occupancy is anticipated on or before November 2026.
Why Redevelopment Matters
Redevelopment in the Historic Westside is about more than new construction. It is about reinvesting in a neighborhood with deep cultural roots while creating space for opportunity, connection and economic growth. Projects like The Good Word Market Hall help activate underused land, support local entrepreneurs and establish welcoming places where the community can come together.
By prioritizing small business incubation, local vendors and shared gathering spaces, the project is designed to strengthen the social and economic fabric of the Historic Westside while honoring its legacy. The Good Word Market Hall represents a forward-looking investment in a neighborhood built on resilience, culture and community pride.
As the project moves toward construction, The Good Word Market Hall stands as a clear example of how intentional redevelopment can create lasting benefits when community remains at the center.
