Building a Stronger Las Vegas: $1.3 Billion in Capital Improvements Underway

Right now, 94 capital improvement projects valued at $1.3 billion are moving forward to make our city a better place to live.

Las Vegas is growing and so are the investments in our community. Right now, 94 capital improvement projects valued at $1.3 billion are moving forward across the city. These projects reflect our commitment to building a safer, healthier and more connected Las Vegas for every resident.

Of these projects, 71 are in the design and planning phase while 23 are already under construction. Each one plays a role in advancing our key goals:

  • Public Safety – From fire stations to flood control and pedestrian safety upgrades, we’re prioritizing infrastructure that keeps our neighborhoods secure.
  • Health & Wellness – New centers for recuperative care, expanded recreational facilities and upgraded parks will improve quality of life citywide.
  • Economic Diversification – Investments in complete streets, workforce development, downtown parking and modern infrastructure such as bridges and overpasses will help create opportunity and support long-term growth.

Highlights of What’s Coming

Here are just a few of the exciting projects that residents will soon be able to experience:

  • Cragin Park Field Modifications & Improvements – Upgrading a well-loved neighborhood park.
  • Regional Aquatic Center & Pavilion Pool – Expanding access to a fast-growing competitive swimming community.
  • Strong Start Academy Expansion at 9th & Bridger – Supporting our youngest learners with more early childhood education space.
  • Arts District Parking Garage – Boosting accessibility to one of the city’s most vibrant cultural hubs.
  • Pickleball Complex at Wayne Bunker Park – Meeting community demand for one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.
  • Recuperative Care Center – Providing critical health resources and recovery services for our unhoused residents.
  • Skye Canyon/Providence LVMPD Substation & Park – Combining safety and open space in the growing northwest.
  • Fire Station 103 Replacement – Ensuring first responders have modern facilities to protect our neighborhoods.
  • Summerlin Parkway Trail (Rampart to 215) – Expanding pedestrian and cycling access across the valley.
  • Fire Training Center Upgrades – Strengthening the resources available to keep our firefighters prepared.
  • Health & Wellness Center at Bonanza & Lamb – A new hub focused on community well-being.
  • 911 Joint Communication Center – A regional effort to enhance emergency response coordination.
  • Remodel of the Former West Las Vegas Library into a New Arts Center – Breathing new life into a community landmark.
  • Northwest Regional Park – Adding more recreational opportunities for families and residents in the northwest.
