A Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) kiosk is located now in the Municipal Court building lobby at 100 E. Clark Ave. in downtown Las Vegas. Members of the public will have to go through security to access the kiosk. Lobby hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, closed holidays. When residents get a citation for expired vehicle registration, they can renew at the kiosk and bring the proof of correction to receive a reduction of their fine. If renewed within 14 days of the citation, the case can be dismissed. If renewed after the 14 days from the citation, the fine may be reduced to $93.
A self-service DMV kiosk offers a fast and easy way to renew vehicle registration for residents with a Nevada-registered vehicle. It's a machine with touch-screen technology that looks similar to an ATM. Simply scan your renewal postcard or type in your license plate number, pay your taxes and fees via credit card or debit card, and your registration and license plate decal prints immediately. You also can get a duplicate registration or get a driver history printout (if you have a Nevada driver's license). No fee for credit card use (Mastercard, Visa or Discover), but kiosks do charge a $4 processing fee for registration renewals and duplicates, and $1.25 for all other transactions. Be sure to review the Frequently Asked Questions to be sure you bring everything you need.
