City of Las Vegas Public Safety Chief Jason Potts is forming a Citizens Advisory Board and seeking a maximum of 15 local residents with varied experience and viewpoints who are interested in participating. The rotating membership of the board will meet with the chief bi-monthly, acting as a resource for community input and feedback on strategies, community policing concepts and public awareness. We are looking to identify individuals to join the advisory board by Feb. 1, 2024. This is a first for the department and we are proud to invite local residents to participate. Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. on a bi-monthly basis, with the first meeting date still to be determined.
For more information or to apply to be a board member, please contact Sgt. Marcus Diaz at 702-229-6343 or at mdiaz@lasvegasnevada.gov. Learn more about the city's Department of Public Safety.
