The cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas will host a community meeting on the upcoming Lake Mead Boulevard Improvement Project. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St. The project is set to begin later in 2024 and will improve Lake Mead Boulevard from Simmons Street to Losee Road.
The project is a joint venture between the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Improvements will include new pavement, addition of bike lanes and safety upgrades, including pedestrian crossings, replacement of sidewalk ramps and new lighting. The project will also include new medians and landscaping. Once construction begins, the project is expected to take 18 month to complete.
