One of the Las Vegas Arts District's most recognizable public art pieces is looking its best again.
As part of the city's ongoing commitment to preserving public art, Snowball recently underwent refurbishment, ensuring the beloved sculpture continues to welcome residents and visitors for years to come.
Created by Las Vegas artist Jesse Carson Smigel and commissioned by the city of Las Vegas in 2014, Snowball is a 10-foot-tall sculpture of a playful cat head located at the corner of First Street and Coolidge Avenue, 1000 S. First St. As the first stop along the Las Vegas Art Trail, the colorful landmark has greeted visitors to the Arts District for more than a decade.
Known for its whimsical design and photo-worthy personality, Snowball invites visitors to stop, snap a picture and begin exploring the vibrant arts and culture that define the neighborhood. Whether you're discovering the First Street Art Trail for the first time or returning to a favorite local destination, be sure to say hello to one of the Arts District's most iconic residents.
