Las Vegas City Council will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 3, following the Redevelopment Agency meeting at 8:30 a.m. Below are some agenda items that may be of interest. Get the agenda. Watch live at kclv.tv/live. 

Agenda Item 12 – Floyd Lamb Park Haybarn Restroom: City Council will vote on a contract for architectural design services for a park restroom for the Floyd Lamb Park Haybarn to Bunnyfish Studio.

Agenda Item 13 – Oakey Boulevard Complete Street: City Council will vote on a contract for Oakey Boulevard from Main Street to Las Vegas Boulevard to Project Engineering Consultants. Services provided under this contract include a complete streets design with curb, gutter, driveway, sidewalk, and roadway reconstruction, lighting, minor utility relocations, street trees, fiber conduit, signing, pavement markings, and on-street parking.

Agenda Item 17 –Rummel Motel and the Par-A-Dice Motel Signs: City Council will vote on a  funding request in the amount of $364,800 for the costs associated with the refurbishment and installation of the Rummel Motel and Par-A-Dice Motel signs, and one-year maintenance for both signs. The city’s Public Works Department is currently conducting street improvements on Las Vegas Boulevard. This project is part of a larger effort to rehabilitate and install historic neon signs along Las Vegas Boulevard within the city limits. This project enhances the federally recognized "Scenic Byway" along Las Vegas Boulevard and connects downtown Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Strip with historic elements from Las Vegas' past. The signs selected for this installation by city staff are the Rummel Motel sign, which will be placed just south of Oakey Boulevard, and the Par-ADice Motel sign, which will be placed in the median near 4th Street. These signs are owned by the city and are ready to be restored and installed in the Las Vegas Boulevard median island as part of the Las Vegas Boulevard Widening Project. The Las Vegas Boulevard Widening Project is currently under construction with Las Vegas Paving as the contractor and YESCO as their subcontractor for other neon signs restored and installed with the project. Construction is slated to be complete in April 2023 and the work to refurbish the signs would be in the last two quarters of 2022, with installation of the signs in the first quarter of 2023.

Agenda Item 30 – City Manager Annual Review: City Council will discuss the annual review of City Manager Jorge Cervantes.
