Residents 50 and better can participate in our Park Ambassador program, which was put together to help active adults get involved in preserving our parks.

All Park Ambassadors are considered to be the eyes of the neighborhood as they help keep the parks safe for everyone. Additionally, ambassadors contribute their time and talents of special projects at hospitals and community centers throughout the year including Corporate Challenge, the homeless census count and a yearly trip to UMC Hospital to give each oncology patient an Easter basket and handmade quilt.

Responsibilities:

-Daily inspection of assigned park.

-Meet and greet park patrons.

-Help promote upcoming city programs and special events.

-Report any unlawful activity.

Those interested in becoming a Park Ambassador can contact Stephanie Richard at 702.229.6601 or srichard@lasvegasnevada.gov. All volunteers must submit an application and pass a background check.
