Redistricting is a process where the city of Las Vegas reevaluates ward boundaries to take into account census information. Per the city’s charter, the community's wards must be within five percent population of one another.

The city is scheduled to introduce its redistricting ordinance and map at the Nov. 17, 2021, City Council meeting. Then it would be scheduled for final adoption at the Dec. 1, 2021, City Council meeting. In addition to these public meetings, the city is planning to host a public viewing of the redistricting maps on Oct. 28, 2021, at 6 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 495 S. Main St. Public comment will not be taken on Oct. 28, but it will be an opportunity to see the maps that detail existing ward boundaries and the newly proposed boundaries. The redistricting map may also be viewed  here
