Ward 6 is the gateway to the great northwest and is roughly bound by U.S. 95, Lone Mountain Road, Decatur Boulevard and out into the northwest. The area provides your connection to the outdoors. Centennial Hills is a thriving community with neighborhoods, retail and office uses. This area includes the Skye Canyon and Sunstone master-planned communities.

With many residential rooftops, these areas are prime for new business development to serve these communities. Heading northwest on U.S. 96/Interstate 11 this area extends towards Kyle Canyon where land is plentiful for development. This area is also home to the city’s largest regional park Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. This 680-acre oasis includes wildlife, lush vegetation, lakes and views of the Sheep and Spring Mountain Ranges. The historic Tule Springs Ranch is tucked inside the park and provides opportunities for visitors to learn about the traditional working ranch and early Las Vegas lifestyle. The park is famed for the wild peacocks and peahens that have made it home.

Ward 6 is also home to the Centennial Hills regional park. This park offers, trails, playgrounds, volleyball courts and open grass fields. It is also the home to the annual Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival that brings thousands to the park each spring.
