Looking for love? Las Vegas is the wedding capital of the world, after all, so what better place to fall in love? Lucky for you, downtown Las Vegas is home to an abundance of Instagram worthy art celebrating love. Here are three pieces you can check out.

Love Locks at Container Park in the Fremont East Entertainment District

This sculpture was created about a decade ago, and hails from year one of the Life is Beautiful music festival. Since then, it has become a downtown staple. Thousands of couples have come here to seal their love with their partner by placing a lock on the sculpture, and even more people have snapped a photo in front of the heart. It’s not quite the love lock bridge in Paris, but we can pretend!

Choose Love Part Deux Mural in the 18b Arts District

This piece by local artist Janel Raihl can be found in the 18b Arts District at the corner of Colorado Street and Casino Center Boulevard. Raihl invited the community to join her in painting this piece by asking passersby to paint a heart up on the wall. Over the course of three painting days, more than 100 people stopped by to paint a heart.

Elvis and Priscilla Presley Mural at the Marriage License Bureau

If you have found love, one day you may end up at the Marriage License Bureau. While waiting in line outside of the building you will be greeted by a mural of Elvis and Priscilla Presley cutting into their wedding cake at their wedding at the Aladdin hotel-casino in 1967. This piece was painted by local artist Jerry Misko. Featuring the King himself, this mural has a lot of other Vegas iconography in it as well. In February 2022, the bureau gave out its five millionth marriage license. The good news is that you do not have to be getting married to enjoy this piece of community art.

With art seeming to be on just about every corner in downtown Las Vegas, there is much more to see aside from these three pieces. While art is just one way, there are plenty of ways to celebrate love in the city of Las Vegas. We unveiled a new set of banners downtown to celebrate our wedding industry on “Wedding Row" encompassing several chapels as well as the Clark County Marriage License Bureau, located at 201 E. Clark Ave.
