Workforce Development
Workforce Development is a priority of the city of Las Vegas, and the city offers programs to help young adults enter the workforce. The Strong Future Youth Employment Program addresses deficiencies among high school graduates in such skills as professionalism, teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and work ethic. The program offers employability training and skills in public speaking, initiative and enterprise, effective communication, social media responsibility, effective time management, conflict resolution, interviewing techniques/strategies, resume writing, technology, planning and organizing, and teamwork. The Strong Future Technology Center is a focal point of the program and is located at the Historic Westside School, 330 W. Washington Ave.
