*City of Las Vegas is a proud to announce a new and unique path to water experiences, sensory exploration, and social interaction designed for all ages and families with sensory sensitivities. By adapting the environment and approach, everyone can experience the many benefits of swimming in a safe and inclusive way. Anyone is welcome to participate! We ask those who join this new experience to be mindful of the sensory environment and help create an inclusive space in our community by limiting splashing, rapid/sudden motion and loud voices. Pool entry capacity will be limited to reduce crowding. The water slide and diving board will be closed and play spray features will be turned off to reduce background noise. Party rentals, camp groups and music are not permitted during this time to create a relaxing, calmer atmosphere. Staff are encouraged to only use whistles or megaphones for emergencies. The zero-depth will be available during Sensory Beach hours and the lap swim area during Sensory Float hours. Floating mats and Coast Guard-approved life jackets will be available for use and swimmers may bring single-rider floats, sensory fidgets and other small pool-friendly comfort items to support needs. All pool rules and adult to youth supervision requirements will continue to be applicable. Don’t forget to pack a towel and your favorite small toys and join us for this time designed just for your needs!
