The center is currently closed for renovation, but plans are to reopen it Oct. 3, 2022. As of Oct. 3, hours will be Monday–Thursday 8 a.m.-9 p.m. , Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The center will be closed Sunday.

Upcoming Events

East Las Vegas Fiesta
Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., 702-229-1515.

Bring the family to a community fiesta as we reopen the newly renovated East Las Vegas Community Center. Enjoy entertainment, games, face painting, food trucks, community vendors, kids play area with bounce houses and more. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Halloween Howls Luncheon and Party (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Oct. 19, 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $7

Come dressed in your Halloween costume, enjoy a luncheon, Halloween party, games and fun! Prizes for the best costume will be awarded. Advance registration required by Oct. 15.

East Las Vegas Community Center Tour, Crafts & Treats
Thursday, Oct. 20, 4-6 p.m. – Decorate a Talavera tile coaster.
Saturday, Oct. 22, 12:30-3:30 p.m. – Decorate a sugar skull.
Tuesday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.-noon – Make a personal piñata.

Free and open to the public.

Bring the family to tour the newly re-opened community center, enjoy light refreshments and take home a craft you decorate yourself. These are drop-in events and crafts are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

This community center was designed to reflect the Latino heritage of the surrounding area. The center has several ballrooms that can be rented, including a bandstand.
