Oral Histories

Between 2021 and 2024, UNLV Special Collections and Archives collaborated with the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada and the Military & Veteran Services Center to record the oral histories of 50 veterans from all branches of military service. Their stories capture personal memories, wartime experiences, and the transition to civilian life. The excerpts presented here are brief highlights from much larger narratives. To fully appreciate these veterans’ experiences and perspectives, we encourage you to explore the complete collection in the archive.
