Windows On First

“Windows on First” invites artists to create original, site-specific installations presented within the context of the First Street Art Trail. This program provides artists a unique opportunity to expand their skill-sets and display their work in a public space.

The space is located at City Hall, 495 S. Main Street, has three (3) display windows on the East side of the building facing First Street.

Windows on First: Bouquet of Fission
Feb. 1 - Sept. 30, 2021
Making Faces is a collection of character tapestries made from acrylic yarn that fill a space with a wall of images that are representational of our individuality and diversity. The hanging characters can evoke an idea for the viewer based off of the identity they believe that they would have. These faces will fill the windows as if an audience is gazing back at the viewer looking at the work. Each window will be filled with colorful caricature tapestries.
