We recognize the sacrifice and efforts our veterans have made for our nation. The city of Las Vegas collaborates with community partners to provide resources and opportunities for veterans, service members and their families. The city has established the Veteran Services Initiative, which includes:
Mayor’s Challenge Las Vegas is one of the first cities that accepted the challenge to prevent suicide among service members, veterans and their families.

Operation Deep Dive Operation Deep Dive is a research study to examine factors and potential causes of suicide among military veterans. The study will help guide the development of programs to prevent and reduce self-harm. The city of Las Vegas teams up with America's Warrior Partnership, a group committed to creating a better quality of life for all veterans by empowering local communities, to tackle this initiative.
Hiring Our Heroes A nationwide effort to connect veterans, service members and military spouses with employment opportunities. The initiative partners with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and strategic partners from the public, private and non-profit sectors.
