The West Las Vegas Arts Center is a vibrant cultural hub that enriches the community through the power of the performing arts. It serves as an introduction to the arts for many, offering a diverse range of programs that foster civic, communal and intellectual development. With a focus on education and accessibility, the center provides a space for the community to engage through the arts to help cultivate creativity and aspiration, build skills and inspire excellence. Move to the beat of West African dance, Hip Hop, Beginner Tap or the Live Arts Dance Institute program for dance classes. Feel the rhythm of the West African Drum class for ages 5 and older. Share the tradition of mariachi lessons for violin, guitar, vihuela or golpe instruments. Bring stories to life with our Arts Conservatory dynamic film media and theatre company for ages 10-18.

Mariachi Nueva Promesa

The city's very own Mariachi Nueva Promesa of the Mariachi Conservatory of Las Vegas (MCLV) aims to introduce mariachi to communities and promote the advancement of its musical techniques for students ages 6-18.

MCLV provides beginning (30-minute) and intermediate/advanced (60-minute) lessons in:

Live Arts Institute

Fridays & Saturdays

The city of Las Vegas West Las Vegas Live Arts Institute is a structured arts enrichment and development program designed for dancers ages 7-25. This program focuses on a range of classical and contemporary dance techniques, consisting of intermediate to advanced levels of dance training and mentorship led by artistic director Avree Walker. Arts Conservatory of Excellence Youth Production Ensemble

For aspiring artists, writers and storytellers ages 10-18, the Arts Conservatory of Excellence is a dynamic media program where creative visions come to life. Students develop skills in digital media production, storytelling and artistic expression while working alongside experienced mentors and peers. 

Performing & Visual Arts Summer Camp

For 30 incredible years, the Performing & Visual Arts Summer Camp for Kids has provided community youth ages 10-15 with pivotal opportunities for civic engagement and social justice projects through the discipline of arts education. Young artists commit themselves to the philosophy of "excellence without excuse," while developing an appreciation for the performing and visual arts.

Fees: $42 | 6 Weeks during summer break

Rites of Passage Programs

These mentoring programs help young people develop into responsible, caring adults and outstanding citizens. Based on the seven principles of Kwanzaa — Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work, Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose and Faith — participants learn to navigate everyday challenges while building mental strength, social relationships and community consciousness.

Sankofa|Boys Rites of Passage
Sankofa teaches that we must look to the past to understand the present and build a better future.

Rentals

The West Las Vegas Arts Center has a variety of spaces available for rent. These spaces range from $35 - $100/hour. Cost not inclusive of staff, security, equipment or cleaning. To find out more about renting this location, call the center at 702-229-4800. Rental availability is released by the fiscal year, so dates are available through June 30, 2027.
