The city of Las Vegas works with community partners to provide health and wellness services to those in need through the Neighborhood Services Department.

Recuperative Care Center - The city offers the Recuperative Care Center, a unique healthcare center that provides a safe place for homeless individuals to recover from illness or injury.

Street Medicine - Medical homeless outreach program that brings healthcare services to the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center, shelters, and homeless encampments.

Health and Wellness Clinics - The city plans to construct a total of 10 Health and Wellness clinics, and two are already operational, including one adjacent to the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center, at 314 Foremaster Lane.

Access to Healthy Foods - The city is working toward opening a co-op grocery store on the Historic Westside.

- Mommy Mentor Program - The program leverages community volunteers to support healthier pregnancies, moms and babies. The program helps expecting moms navigate this journey with social support from a caring and dedicated volunteer mentor, maternal health education and linkage to community resources.Expecting mothers who participate will be assigned a dedicated and supportive mentor, social support, education and community resources as well as a community health worker who will help navigate barriers than can impact a healthy and happy pregnancy.
If you are a city of Las Vegas resident and expecting mother interested in the program, please complete an application. Once submitted, a community health worker will reach out within three business days to review program requirements and next steps.If you would like to become a mentor and are able to provide regular social support to an expecting mother for at least 12 months, please complete an application.
