Nuestro Futuro Este de Las Vegas (Our Future East Las Vegas) is the multifaceted vision for Ward 3 through various initiatives aimed at bringing economic development, housing options, public infrastructure, and services to neighborhoods in the east valley. The initiatives are all a part of the 2050 Master Plan, which provides the foundation for future land development, parks accessibility, transportation improvements, and job creation in the greater area of east Las Vegas. One of the initiatives is a
housing project that will bring affordable and market-rate options of single-family homes, senior housing, and multi-family units on the former site of the Desert Pines Golf Course, near Mojave and Bonanza roads. The project will also incorporate commercial space, a community center, a workforce training center, and park space.
There is also a focus on neighborhood revitalization, including an area generally bordered by I-515/U.S.95 and Wengert Avenue from north to south and Bruce Street and Mojave from west to east. Through extensive outreach efforts, the city will explore all elements of the community’s vitality, including how best to support residents and businesses socially, economically and culturally.
