Discover the Power of Parks and Recreation in Las Vegas

Celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month by discovering new ways to get active, explore the outdoors and connect with your community.

July is National Parks and Recreation Month, and we are celebrating the places, programs and people that help make our community healthier and more connected. Whether it's spending time outdoors, joining a fitness class, playing with your family, exploring nature or connecting with neighbors, our parks have something for everyone.

The Power of Well-Being: Get moving at one of the city's free outdoor Fitness Courts®, featuring full-body workout stations and a free mobile app that guides your exercise routine. Find a Fitness Court at Bill Briare Family Park, Garehime Heights Park, Police Memorial Park, Woofter Family Park and East Las Vegas Family Park.

The Power of People: Celebrate the dedicated parks and recreation professionals who help create safe, welcoming spaces and meaningful programs for residents every day. Discover your community center to find programs and activities designed for all ages and abilities.

The Power of Nature: Discover all that Las Vegas parks have to offer. From neighborhood parks and walking trails to open green spaces and picnic areas, our parks provide places to connect with the outdoors close to home. Find a park near you.

The Power of Play: Whether your best friend has two legs or four, our dog parks offer plenty of room for pups to run, play and socialize while their owners enjoy the outdoors. Explore a dog park with your furry friend.

Summer is a great time to enjoy your neighborhood parks, but remember to plan ahead for the heat. Bring plenty of water, stay hydrated and visit during the cooler morning or evening hours. If you're bringing your dog along, avoid hot pavement and pack extra water to keep them comfortable.

From fitness and recreation to nature and play, we have countless opportunities to stay active, make memories and experience the power of parks all month long. Learn more about Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs.
